2006 Tempranillo

Vintage:	2006 Tempranillo
Vineyard Notes:	Tempranillo is growing in popularity more rapidly than any other variety. It makes wines which have good colour and good fruit flavours along with low acids and tannins. This adds up to an easy drinking style of wine. The early ripening tendency is the source of the name tempranillo, which translates to “little early one”. In terms of hectares it is one of Australia’s fastest-growing varieties. Tempranillo loves our climate and will produce high quality fruit as long as the viticulture is right.
Appearance:	Deep dark red
Aroma:	Fully ripe blackberry and star anise aromas backed up with american oak
Palate:	Full bodied and mouth filling. Rich long grainy tannins. Strong varietal style
Alcohol:	16% Vol Approx. 9.5 standard drinks (per 750ml bottle)
Additives:	Contains Sulphites
Food Accompaniments:	The soft tannins and moderate acidity give a lush texture for easy drinking, but you can match them with ham, smoked meats and sausages, or with roast lamb. You may like to try some with soft ripe cheese such as camembert.
