Geographe Wine Region

The Geographe Wine Region encompasses a large area from the coast between Harvey and Busselton including areas such as Donnybrook, Capel, Preston Valley and Ferguson Valley.  A strong reputation for the production of quality wines in particular Chardonnay, Semillon, Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. 

Formally established as a wine appellation in 1999, it now is establishing itself as a prime destination for visitors.  From fabulous forests to pristine coastlines there is an impressive range of natural attractions and an abundance of activities to entertain all ages.  With over 1200 hectares under vine, the Geographe Wine region represents 11% of the states planted area.  This region boosts 8 wineries in the Dardanup-Ferguson Valley area, a further 9 located in Harvey, 3 south of Bunbury and 11 in the Donnybrook area.
